While the total number of coronavirus cases crossed 70,000-mark, the Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday said that the recovery rate in India is getting better every day. Union Health Minister interacted with the senior officials of various districts of Jammu and Kashmir over COVID-19, on Tuesday via video-conferencing. He said that "As we are seeing continuously of late, our recovery rate is getting better every day. Today our recovery rate is at 31.7 percent." In the fight against coronavirus, our mortality rate is about the lowest in the world. Today, the mortality rate is at around 3.2 percent, in several states, it is even less than this, he said, adding that the global fatality rate is around 7-7.5 percent. 14 RPF jawans tested positive for Coronavirus
