Coronavirus: India reports less than 1 lakh daily new cases after 63 days
Coronavirus India Updates: India on Tuesday witnessed a major decline in COVID-19 cases as the country recorded less than one lakh new cases in the last 24 hours.
As per the coronavirus updates given by the Health Ministry, India on Tuesday reports 86,498 new COVID-19 cases, 1,82,282 discharges, and 2,123 deaths in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total tally of COVID-19 cases has increased to 2,89,96,473 while discharges have gone up to 2,73,41,462.
The death toll in the nation due to the novel disease reached 3,51,309 while active cases stood at 13,03,702. As of now, a total of 23,61,98,726 people have been administered the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 36,82,07,596 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the country, up to June 7 including 18,73,485 samples tested Monday.
The Union Health Ministry stated that India reported less than 1 lakh daily new COVID-19 cases after 63 days. 86,498 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, the lowest in 66 days while active caseload has declined by 97,907, currently at 13,03,702.
Even as it stated that over 24 crores (24,65,44,060) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far, via Govt of India (free of cost channel) and direct state procurement category.
Over 1.19 crore (1,19,46,925) doses still available with States/UTs, it stated.
