Punjab: 31 BSF personnel among 34 new cases of coronavirus in Hoshiarpur

Punjab: The total number of coronavirus cases in Hoshiarpur has increased to 246 after 34 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. Among the new coronavirus cases from Hoshiarpur are 31 BSF personnel of the Sub Training Centre Kharkan Camp while the other three COVID patients are from areas under PHC Mand Pandher, PHC Posi and PHC Paldi. On Thursday, the state reported 298 new coronavirus cases and 9 deaths. 4 of them were reported from Ludhiana, 2 from Jalandhar, 1 each from Gurdaspur, Patiala, and Kapurthala. Likewise, 4 new cases were reported from the district on Thursday. The district has so far reported 7 deaths due to coronavirus. A total of 410 COVID patients in Punjab were declared cured and discharged on Thursday. Also Read | Punjab CM asks DGP to create special COVID reserves, withdraw cops from non-essential duties Out of 410, 84 were from Ludhiana, 122 from Jalandhar, 103 were from Patiala, 13 each from Amritsar, Kapurthala and Bathinda, 14 from Faridkot, 12 from Moga, 8 each from SBS Nagar and Gurdaspur, 7 from Mohali, 6 from Hoshiarpur, 3 each from Pathankot and Fatehgarh Sahib and 1 from Barnala. -PTC News
