Delhi Police detains Tehseen Poonawalla for protesting against Nirmala Sitharaman over issue of onion prices

Delhi: Former Bigg Boss contestant and Political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla has been detained by the police at Vijay Chowk on Thursday. Poonawalla was protesting against the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, over the issue of onion prices. Sitharaman was asked by NCP MP Supriya Sule in Lok Sabha on Wednesday that "Why has the production of onion gone down?" I come from such a family which doesn't have much to do with the onion." Meanwhile, the people on twitter are also asking the questions over detention of Tehseen Poonawalla. A user said, "Delhi Police detained Tehseen Poonawalla for walking with a wheelchair and onions. Shanmuga Priyan, an onion trader said, "Onion prices have shot up. Customers who were buying 5kgs are now only buying 2kgs. We are selling good quality onions for Rs180/kg.
