Delhi Police seals Tikri border and Jharoda border

Days after violence during the tractor march in Delhi on Republic Day, the Delhi Police on Thursday sealed Tikri and Jharoda borders as a precautionary measure. Tikri border and Jharoda border have been sealed by the Delhi Police as all routes to Delhi have been closed. Also Read | FACT! On the other hand, a group of people claiming to be locals gathered at the Singhu border demanding that the area be vacated. Farmers in huge numbers have been camping at the site as part of their protest against farm laws 2020. Earlier on Wednesday night, the Baghpat district administration vacated a protest site near Delhi-Saharanpur Highway following a request from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). It is pertinent to mention that the Delhi Police has issued a look out circular against farmer leaders who’ve been named in the FIR in connection with the violence during the farmers’ tractor march on Republic Day. -PTC News
