Director-actor Manobala death: Liver ailment takes life of another actor; superstar Rajinikanth expresses condolence
PTC Web Desk: Manobala a celebrated South actor, director and a producer in the Tamil film industry breathed his last on Wednesday at the age of 69. He had acted in over 900 films.
Manobala is survived by his wife and son. Manobala had directed several blockbuster films such as Rajinikanth's 'Oorkavalan' and 'Mallu Vetti Minor'.
It is learnt that Manobala had been suffering from liver-related ailments. He was earlier admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai and was later shifted to his residence in Saligramam. He had been unwell for the past 15 days and stopped responding to treatment and breathed his last this afternoon.
The South actor also shared screen space with leading actors of Tamil cinema such as Dhanush, Suriya, Vijay, Karthi, and Jaya Ravi. Superstar Rajinikanth, who acted in the Manobala directorial 'Oorkavalan', took to Twitter to convey condolences for the death of his dear friend. He wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the passing away of my dear friend Manobhala, a famous director and actor. My condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.”
