Uorfi Javed Halloween 2023: Uorfi Javed, a well-known actor and reality TV star, has found herself at the center of controversy and even received death threats for her Halloween costume. Known for her unique and creative fashion choices, her recent Instagram post has drawn the ire of some users, leading to serious threats against her.
For Halloween, Uorfi Javed decided to recreate the character 'Chhote Pandit,' portrayed by actor Rajpal Yadav in the popular film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa.' In her portrayal, she donned a costume that mimicked the character, complete with red face paint, an orange dhoti, a red top, a marigold garland around her neck, and incense sticks on her ears.
However, as soon as she shared the video on Instagram, it sparked a significant backlash from some users who found it "insulting and aimed at offending Hindus."
The 26-year-old actor revealed that she had been receiving death threats related to the video and even posted screenshots of the threatening emails she had received.
In response to the situation, Uorfi Javed expressed her shock and dismay, particularly at the death threats she had received. She highlighted the irony that the character she had portrayed faced no backlash in the movie.
One of the emails shared by the actor came from an individual named Nikhil Goswami, who demanded that she delete the video or face the consequence of being killed.
In another email, a man accused her of defaming the Hindu religion and issued a threat: "Live your life, I will shoot you at the intersection," wrote Rupesh Kumar.
Uorfi Javed is known for her participation in TV reality shows like Bigg Boss OTT and MTV Splitsvilla X4. She frequently garners attention for her bold fashion choices and candid statements.
