Singer AK makes debut with Punjabi banger ‘Punjabiyan Di Taur’, collaborates with Kanwalpreet Singh | Watch
PTC Web Desk: Singer AK has officially made his debut with a powerful Punjabi track titled “Punjabiyan Di Taur", in collaboration with actor-singer Kanwalpreet Singh and Bold Framee Entertainment. The song is a celebration of Punjabi pride, lifestyle, and global presence.
AK shared that this debut is the result of years of effort and inspiration. The punchline of the song—“Punjabiyan Di Taur, Punjabiyan Da Swag, Poori Duniya Ch Chalda Punjabiyan Da Brag”—came to his mind back in 2018, when he was living in Kolkata and working as a business head with a premium bike brand. He noticed that even in a Bengali-speaking city like Kolkata, Punjabi songs were hugely popular in clubs and events. "This made me realise how deeply Punjabi music has made its mark not just in India, but across the world—especially among NRIs who have formed strong communities abroad," he added.
Inspired by this, AK started writing down lyrics and developing the idea during the Covid lockdown, when he had time to focus on music. Although he had never sung professionally before, he had a background in singing from his school and college days. He also wrote the screenplay for the music video himself. HE said he shared the idea with actor-singer Kanwalpreet Singh.
In 2024, AK began serious work on the song, including rigorous vocal practice and preparation for dubbing. He visualised every element of the video over the years and turned it into reality with dedication and planning.
One of the biggest challenges he faced was funding the project. To overcome this, he started saving in 2021, and after three years, he was finally ready to bring his vision to life.
