Google rolls out new pitch-black dark mode
Washington, February 23: Google has now begun rolling out its new pitch-black dark mode.
According to The Verge, the previous dark mode was a grey that was soothing on the eyes, but Google has switched to a true black that'll really shine on OLED and AMOLED displays. Google announced the wider availability of dark mode earlier this month, however, the rollout has been gradual.
In February of last year, Google said that it was testing a new dark mode, and in a tweet earlier this month, it announced that the new dark theme was available on desktop and mobile.
The new display will prove to be a great add on for those who thought the dark grey wasn't dark enough and for those who want to save battery life on devices with OLED displays. So it is a win-win situation.

However, Google's latest change has not been an upgrade for everyone. Many users have voiced trouble they are having while reading anything due to the high contrast and glow.
Google is, without a question, the most popular website on the internet. The search engine handles more than 3.5 million search requests every day, accounting for more than 92 percent of the global market.
The tech behemoth employs a 'PageRank' priority ranking system to aid in the optimization of search results. Its primary function is to look for text in documents stored on public servers.
