IMD predicts fog intensification over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday forecasted dense to very dense fog over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi for the next two days. IMD was quoted by ANI as saying, "Due to favourable meteorological conditions, dense to very dense fog in the morning hours and cold day to severe cold day conditions at many places are very likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi during next 2 days and at isolated to few places for subsequent 3 days." https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1209038142142967813 Meanwhile, IMD stated that "Dense to very dense fog in the morning hours and Cold day conditions at isolated pockets also very likely over Uttar Pradesh during next 5 days." https://www.ptcnews.tv/dr-harsh-vardhan-harsimrat-kaur-badal-inaugurate-opd-services-at-bathinda-aiims-en/ Similarly, dense to very dense fog in the morning hours is likely during next 5 days and cold wave conditions during December 24 to 27 over north Rajasthan.
