India logs 14,506 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours
New Delhi, June 29: India recorded 14,506 new cases of the Covid-19 infection in the past 24 hours, according to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday.
The country also witnessed 30 Covid-related deaths. India also saw a total of 11,574 recoveries in the last 24 hours. With this, the total recovery rate is recorded at 98.57 percent and total recoveries data reached 4,28,08,666.
The active caseload in India has climbed to 99,602, according to data updated by the health ministry. The active cases now account for 0.22 percent of the total infections.
An increase of 2,902 cases has been recorded in just 24 hours. The death toll in the country is now at 5,25,077.

Meanwhile, Haryana reported more recoveries than new Covid cases in the last 24 hours with 437 fresh cases and 664 recoveries. Punjab reported 130 new Covid cases and 1 death during the day. However, Himachal Pradesh saw a spike with 120 fresh Covid cases, mostly from Kangra district.
Punjab reported a Covid death from Ludhiana in the last 24 hours, while the state has 984 active cases.
