In a major incident, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker, who was shot at by terrorists on Sunday, succumbed to his injuries in the Budgam area of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the information, he sustained gunshot wounds in the attack after which his health was said to be under critical condition. The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday confirmed that a group of militants fired upon Abdul Hamid Najar while he was out for a walk in the Mohiendpora area of Budgam. He was injured in the attack and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Najar was served as the district president of Budgam BJP Other Backward Class (OBC) Morcha and was the third BJP leader to be targeted by militants in the past week. The BJP leader succumbed to his injuries on the same day.
