Mahatma Gandhi Death Anniversary: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat, Delhi on his death anniversary. Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, Union Minister Rajnath Singh besides Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief General MM Naravane, Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh and IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Earlier on Thursday, PM Narendra Modi took to twitter and wrote: "A tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary. The personality, ideas and ideals of Pujya Bapu will continue to inspire us to build a strong, capable and prosperous New India." https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1222753930750328832 Likewise, Rajnath Singh said in a tweet, "I pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary.
