Minor girl gang-raped in ICU of private hospital in UP A 16-year-old girl admitted to the ICU, was gang-raped on Thursday by hospital compounder and 3 other persons in Uttar Pradesh. The incident came into light when the girl narrated her ordeal to her mother, the next day when she regained her consciousness. Following which, her father lodged the complaint. In his complaint, her father told that the girl was admitted to a private hospital on October 29 due to food poisoning. On Thursday evening, when she was in her semi-conscious state, the compounder, identified as Sunil Sharma with his two aides raped her. They raped her on her bed inside the ICU. The father further told that they were not allowed to meet their daughter when she was admitted to the ICU. They met her only when she was shifted to the general ward after she regained her consciousness. Following which the teen narrated her ordeal to her mother. Meanwhile, the hospital director called it a false complaint and told that Sunil Kumar was working with them for three years. The police has already started their investigation. The department has recovered the CCTV footage from the hospital. The accused have been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
