Minor girl seen crying, begging as eight men drag, disrobe girl in Bihar
Police in Bihar’s Jehanabad district have booked In a shocking incident, eight men dragged, disrobed and molested a 14 year old girl. They also made a video of the girl that went viral later on the social media, officials confirmed on Monday. Jehanabad’s superintendent of police Manish Kumar said he directed officials to lodge a FIR on Sunday morning soon after the viral video came to his notice. Kumar said a special investigation team (SIT) has also been set up to look for the accused. “The FIR has been lodged against eight unknown people, including the motorcycle owner, on the basis of the written statement of police inspector Shyamsundar Singh of the city police station. The accused are being searched on the basis of the video,” he added. The video shows a group about seven boys, some of them on a motorcycle, trying to tear up the clothes of the girl. She is seen crying and begging with folded hands as boys use abusive and derogatory language against her. The incident reportedly took place on Saturday near Bharthua village of Jehanabad district. “It was also noticed that a youth was making a video of the incident. At the place of occurrence, a motorcycle was also there. Police have identified the owner of the motorcycle. A youth has been detained in this case,” a police official said. -PTC News
