Three killed, two rescued after an Avalanche hits Lolab forests in Kupwara
Three persons were killed after an Avalanche took place at Lashkote forest area of Dardpora, Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Police identified the dead trio as Mohd Altaf son of Haider Ali, Ghulam Mohd Lone son of Ali Mohd Lone, both residents of Warnow village and Bashir Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Rasool of Dardpora. Two persons rescued alive and shifted to hospital namely: 1 Zameer Ahmed S/o Mohammed Syed 2 Mohammed Akbar S/o Abdul Subhan Meanwhile, SSP Kupwara Shamsher Hussain said that the heavy snowfall in the area is hampering the rescue operations. -PTC News
