Delhi: 2-year-old boy drowns to death in swimming pool
PTC News Desk: A two-year-old boy allegedly died after drowning in a swimming pool in south Delhi's Gadaipur area, police informed on Saturday.
The deceased child has been identified as Divyansh by police.
According to the police, they received information around 7.50 p.m. on Wednesday that Divyansh had been admitted to AIIMS after drowning in the swimming pool.
"The incident took place in the pool of a house at farm number 10 in Gadaipur, New Delhi, where the deceased's father has been working as a caretaker for the last four to five months and also resides with family in the same house", police further informed.
According to the authorities, the deceased's father was working at the park with a coworker on Wednesday, and his son Divyansh was also playing there. After a while, he noticed that his son was missing, and he later discovered him in the swimming pool.
"Sandeep admitted his son to AIIMS Hospital, where his son was declared dead on Thursday after treatment. A case under Section 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered", they added.
