Parkash Singh Badal reaches Varanasi for filing nomination by PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday will file his nomination papers from Varanasi, the constituency he won 2014 general election. Shiromani Akali Dal’s patriarch Parkash Singh Badal today arrived at the Varanasi hotel where Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh were meeting other NDA leaders. Sushma Swaraj was also present at the meeting. Later, he will join the Prime Minister for his nomination filing.

Before filing the papers, Narendra Modi also addressed BJP workers in Varanasi. Thanking the workers for putting up the massive roadshow yesterday, he said, “Party workers are the real candidates of democracy. More than my win, I am concerned about them.”

Prime Minister won from Varanasi by a margin of 3.37 lakh votes.
