Fuel prices hiked across country for 19th day in a row; Here are latest rates of petrol and diesel

The prices of petrol and diesel have been increased across the country for the 19th consecutive day. The price of petrol was increased by 16 paise per litre while diesel price has gone up by 14 paise per litre on Thursday. The price of petrol has cumulatively increased by Rs 8.66 per litre while diesel has price has increased by a huge margin of Rs 10.63 per litre. The prices of Diesel have record all-time high rates while the price of petrol is at a 19-month high. The diesel price has become costlier than petrol in the national capital after the Delhi government increased the Value Added Tax (VAT).

Here are the latest prices of petrol and diesel in top cities:

  • New Delhi: Petrol Rs 79.92; Diesel Rs 80.02
  • Gurgaon: Petrol Rs 78.15; Diesel Rs 72.31
  • Mumbai: Petrol Rs 86.70; Diesel Rs 78.34
  • Chennai: Petrol Rs 83.18; Diesel Rs 77.29
  • Hyderabad: Petrol Rs 82.96; Diesel Rs 78.19
  • Bengaluru: Petrol Rs 82.52; Diesel Rs 76.09
