Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday extended wishes to the nation on Constitution Day. Ram Nath Kovind said, “I convey my warm greetings on the occasion of 70th anniversary of the adoption of the ‘Constitution of India’, to all of you, and to all our fellow citizens in India and abroad.”

Meanwhile, PM Modi said, “Today is a historic day. 70 years ago, we adopted our great Constitution.” While speaking in Parliament, PM Narendra Modi said “The Constitution of India highlights both rights and duties of citizens. This is a special aspect of our Constitution. Let us think about how we can fulfil the duties mentioned in our Constitution.”

Also, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that “I wish all citizens a happy Constitution Day. May the ideals enshrined in the Constitution guide our lives on the path shown by Dr BR Ambedkar and the visionaries who made India the world’s largest democracy.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “As a true sentinel of the Constitution, the Modi government is committed to upholding the unity and integrity of the country, following the ideals of Babasaheb Ambedkarji, with a resolve of welfare of 130 crore countrymen. Congratulations to all the countrymen on Constitution Day.”

Likewise, Piyush Goyal said “On the occasion of our 70th Constitution Day, let us take a pledge to commit ourselves to the fundamental values of our democratic nation and honour the principles of Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity, enshrined in our Constitution.”
