Oppn parties to attend joint meeting on March 13; to plan for 2nd phase of budget session

New Delhi, March 12: Opposition parties will hold a joint meeting at the office of Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge ahead of the second phase of the Budget Session, which begins on Monday.

"Leaders of like-minded opposition parties will be meeting at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's office in Parliament premises tomorrow morning," sources stated.


According to sources, like-minded Opposition party leaders will meet at Rajya Sabha LoP Mallikarjun Kharge's office in Parliament on Monday around 10 a.m.

Congress MPs will also meet at the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) office in Parliament at around 10.30 a.m. to plan their strategy for the floor of the house, according to sources.

After a month-long break, the Budget session of 2023 will resume. The recess was intended to allow the department-related Parliamentary Standing Committees to examine grant requests and report on their respective ministries or departments.

Earlier, during the 85th plenary session of Congress, they stated that they are willing to collaborate with like-minded political parties.

"The Congress party is the only party that has never compromised with the BJP/RSS and its despicable politics. We will always fight to protect our political values against the BJP's authoritarian, communal and crony capitalist onslaught," the party stated.
