Two brothers killed as speeding truck rams into bike in Ludhiana, driver at large
PTC News Desk: In a tragic turn of events, three youths riding a bik were violently hit by a speeding truck leading to the death of two brothers and critically injuring their friend. The driver fled the scene after the horrific accident.
The deceased were identified as Damodar Kumar (21) and Shivmohan Kumar (28).
Soon after the accident, a team of police officials reached the spot and rushed the brothers to the civil hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. While their friend who was also critically injured was rushed to another hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile ASI Jaspal Singh said they received the accident information from the control room. When they brought the injured to the civil hospital, Damodar and Shivmohan succumbed to their injuries. Both were brothers and residents of Kali Road. He said CCTV footage would be examined and a case would be registered against the unidentified truck driver.
Shivmohan worked in garment washing, and Damodar worked as a tailor. Shivmohan is survived by his wife and two sons, while the younger brother Damodar was unmarried. According to the family, they themselves don’t know where the brothers were going with their friend during late hours.
