Punjab CM Mourns Passing Away Of Noted Sikh Scholar Dr. Kirpal Singh
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday mourned the death of noted Sikh scholar and historian Dr. Kirpal Singh, who passed away at the age of 95 here at his residence early this morning after a brief illness. He is survived by two sons and a daughter.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister described Dr. Kirpal Singh as a distinguished Sikh historian and an eminent academician, whose immense contribution to collating and disseminating modern and medieval history of India would always be remembered by researchers and historians across the globe.
Sharing his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family, relatives and friends, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to give courage to them to bear this irreparable loss hour and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
