Kabul: In a major development, the Taliban approved Afghanistan's first cricket Test since their takeover, saying the Afghan team can play with other international teams. This has raised hopes that sports will continue as usual under the terror group. Notably, organised sport was prohibited under the previous Taliban regime. "In the future, we want good relations with all countries," he said. "When good relations are established, Afghan players can go [to Australia] and they can come here." Recently, Afghanistan's three-match ODI series against Pakistan, which was due to get underway in Sri Lanka on Friday was postponed indefinitely as the war-torn country descended into chaos last month. The terror group took over Kabul on August 15 and the country's democratically government collapsed.
