TN issues red alert across the state for October 7 after Met department predicted heavy rain
Tamil Nadu: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu. The state government on Thursday issued a red alert for all districts for October 7.
The State Government has passed circulars to the district administration so that they could take precautionary measures to avert mishappenings. The government urged the public not to go to high-alert places. The fishermen are also advised not to enter sea for fishing, as it could be rough and furious.
The state government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore to remove encroachments on the water path. The disaster management forces are kept on standby to address the calamity. The Tamil Nadu government has also asked the district administration to keep the relief camps ready.
