Uttar Pradesh: Ink thrown at AAP leader Sanjay Singh in Hathras
Uttar Pradesh: Ink was thrown at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh in Hathras on Monday when he was speaking to media persons after meeting the family members of the Hathras rape victim who died of her injuries in Delhi on September 29.
Meanwhile, the police detained one attacker, identified as Deepak Sharma. The interrogation is underway.

The AAP leader Sanjay Singh’s visit to Hathras comes a day after Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad visited the family members of the rape victim.

A day before Azad’s visit to Hathras, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi met the family members.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is a "coward, not a Thakur", AAP MP Sanjay Singh tweeted after he was attacked with ink in Hathras, where the alleged gang rape and murder of Dalit woman has raised a political storm.
"Cowardly act in Hathras. Police took us to 'Gudiya's' house and while returning, we were attacked. MLA Rakhi Birla, Ajay Dutt, and Faisal Lala were with me. Yogi Ji, you are not Thakur (caste), you are a coward. File cases against me, baton charge, get me murdered but the fight for justice will go on," Sanjay Singh said in a tweet in Hindi.
Likewise, an AAP supporter slammed the police for not being able to stop the attack. "Police are giving a free hand to such people," he said on camera.
