Five killed in shooting at youth centre in northern Germany, two arrested
PTC News Desk: At least five people were killed in a shooting in the northern German town of Stade on Monday, according to police.
A suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident, German news agency dpa reported, citing police sources.
Police also confirmed that a second person is in custody, although their exact role in the case remains unclear. Officials said there are currently no other suspects being sought.
A large police operation is underway in an area outside the town centre of Stade, which has a population of around 50,000 people and is located west of Hamburg.
Authorities have assured residents that there is no further threat to public safety, and investigations into the shooting are continuing.
