Ramaswamy ends 2024 Presidential bid, supports Donald Trump
PTC News Desk: Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, a 38-year-old entrepreneur, has decided to suspend his 2024 US Presidential bid. The announcement came on Tuesday following former US President Donald Trump's victory in the Iowa caucus.
Expressing the decision on X (formerly Twitter), Ramaswamy acknowledged a disappointing finish in Iowa's leadoff caucuses. He emphasised the campaign's core focus on truth-telling and America-first values, stating, "Tonight I am suspending my campaign and endorsing Donald J. Trump, and will do everything I can to make sure he is the next U.S. President. I am enormously proud of this team, this movement, and our country."

Ramaswamy extended his support to Trump, even under the circumstance of potential felonies. Trump's resounding victory marked the first 2024 Republican Presidential contest in Iowa on Monday. "Earlier tonight, I called Donald Trump to tell him that I congratulate him on his victory. And now going forward, he will have my full endorsement for the presidency," he declared.

CNN projections reveal Trump leading in the Iowa caucuses, with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in second place and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in third. Trump secured over 55,000 votes, DeSantis over 23,000, Haley over 20,000, and Ramaswamy holds fourth place with just over 8,000 votes.
