3 Naxals, CRPF jawan killed in Jharkhand encounter
Three Maoists and a CRPF jawan were killed in an encounter that broke out in Jharkhand on Monday morning. The encounter took place in Giridih district at around 6 am.

Based on intelligence reports, troops of the 7th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a combing drive in the area to search the militants hiding there. During the search operation, the gunfight broke out between Naxals and CRPF jawans. Three Maoists and a CRPF jawan were killed in the encounter.

Security forces recovered three bodies of Maoists along with an AK-47 Rifle, three bullet magazines and four pipe bombs from the encounter site. The search operation is underway.
