Coronavirus: India reports 45,892 new COVID-19 cases, 817 deaths in last 24 hours
Coronavirus India Updates: India on Thursday reported 45,892 daily new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, less than 50,000 daily new for eleven continuous days.
As per the coronavirus updates by the Union Health Ministry, India reported 45,892 new COVID-19 cases, 44,291 recoveries, and 817 deaths in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India has increased to 3,07,09,557 while the total recoveries have gone up to 2,98,43,825.

The active cases in the country have reached 4,60,704 and the death toll stands at 4,05,028. As of now, a total of 36,48,47,549 people have been administered the COVID-19 vaccine while 33,81,671 people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
Union Health Ministry stated that active cases constitute 1.50 percent of total cases. The recovery rate has increased to 97.18 percent while the weekly positivity rate is below 5 percent, currently at 2.37 percent.
The daily positivity rate stands at 2.42 percent, less than 3 percent for 17 consecutive days. The testing capacity has ramped up as 42.52 cr tests were conducted in total.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) stated that a total of 42,52,25,897 samples have been tested for COVID-19 up to July 7, 2021. Of these, 18,93,800 samples were tested on Wednesday.
