Delhi Tourism commences festivities with Winter Carnival

New Delhi: Delhi Tourism, Government of Delhi commenced its Winter Carnival at all three of its Dilli Haats on Monday. Adding to the festive cheer, Delhi Tourism is bringing the Winter Carnival at the Garden of Five Senses from 24 December 2019-01 January 2020.

Harbouring the Christmas spirit, the three Dilli Haats and the Garden of Five Senses are decked to create a festive ambience and offer its visitors a myriad of gifting options at their shopping street. With the special performances organized at the venues, Winter Carnival brings forth a unique Delhi winter experience.

· Dilli Haat Pitampura (21-25 December)

· Dilli Haat INA (21-31 December)

· Dilli Haat Janakpuri (22-24 December)

·       Garden of Five Senses (24 December 2019-01 January 2020)

Offering an experience of the season’s festivities as one indulges in a variety of authentic and mouth-watering food at the four venues, the Dilli Haats saw a favourable incline amongst visitors towards handicrafts stalls for Christmas gifting along with various other items. Christmas Carols and other cultural performances decked the evening.

Presenting a grand celebration this winter across ‘Cuisine, Culture and Crafts’, visitors will also be able to enjoy the following at Garden of Five Senses:

  • Kashmiri shawls & carpets

Special performances are being organized at Garden of Five Senses with artists such as Abu Malik & Posh Peechatt, Diwakar Sharma, TV show “Rising Star” fame, Mohd. Rafi Night by Dr. Rahul Joshi, Nizami Brothers, and Qawalli by Yusuf Nizami. Several other performances by artists from Sahitya Kala Parishad and open-stage performances by YouTube fame artists have also been organized. The day-wise schedule of performances at the Garden of Five Senses is as follows:

The Timings of Winter Carnival at all three Dilli Haats and Garden of Five Senses is 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Regular ticket fare is applicable at all the venues.
