Angry over delay, passenger tweets about 5 bombs on Dibrugarh Rajdhani

In a major incident, the Dibrugarh Rajdhani express was halted at Dadri station near New Delhi after a man claimed that there were five bombs on the train. However, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) DG confirmed that the train was checked and nothing was found, adding that the passengers spreading such rumors must be strictly dealt with.

Man who raised the alarm

The man has been identified as Sanjeev Singh Gurjar, a resident of Madhya Pradesh. He took to Twitter and claimed that there were five bombs on the train. He wrote: "I want to inform that there are 5 bombs in a train Rajdhani (12424) going from New Delhi to Kanpur central. Please take some action on this quickly."

Immediate Action by Indian Railways

Responding to his tweet, the Indian Railways directed the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to take immediate action. The RPF immediately swung into action and took up the matter with the higher authorities. Meanwhile, the police aksed further details with PNR and mobile number for further assistance. The official Twitter account of SP GRP AGRA stated that all the senior officers were informed that the train has been stopped at the post-GRP Dadri. Sanjeev Singh Gurjar's apology

While issuing a clarification, the man stated that the tweet was posted by him under mental stress. Describing his situation, he said that his brother's train got delayed by four hours because of which he was very angry. He added that he wanted to apologize to the Indian government for this. -PTC News
