Fuel price Hike: Opposition raises issue of rise in petrol and diesel prices in India

Petrol and diesel prices in India: Rajya Sabha on Tuesday was adjourned till 12 pm as Opposition MPs raised slogans, demanding a discussion on the fuel price hike. Congress MP Manish Tewari had given an adjournment of business motion in Lok Sabha to discuss the rising prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG. Likewise, the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge had given a suspension of business notice over rising prices of petrol, diesel, LPG and essential commodities. Similarly, the Opposition raised the issue of a hike in fuel price in Lok Sabha. Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh stated that during the remaining part of the Budget session, members will be seated in Rajya Sabha chambers and its Gallery only, with some physical distancing. Meanwhile, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said that both the States and Centre need to discuss the issue and find out a solution regarding the same.
