Google Duo reaches 5 billion installs on the Play Store
Google Duo – A Face Time Alternative for Android users just reached an incredible milestone by reaching an impressive benchmark of 5 billion installs on Play Store.
With the increase in global pandemic and keeping in view safety and security of each other, most of the android users use Google Duo with new added features to have a chit chat with family and friends due to which video calling app Google Duo becomes the top most trending app in Google Play Store.

Notable, that Duo is the only video calling service that Google provides. The tech giant also launched Google Meet back in 2017 which was later introduced to consumers in 2019.
Earlier, Google had decided to merge both its services, but the strategy failed. Also, Google Meet has been added to Gmail, yet it is behind Duo's 5 billion downloads.
The US-based search engine giant launched Duo at the same time when one of the Google’s rival to iMessage and Whatsapp – Allo was launched. But in 2019 , Allo's time on the Play Store ended when the app shut down and around the same time Duo managed to cross one billion installs which reaches to five billion today.
Earlier, Google Duo introduced four new features in its video calling app , along with a promise to add more soon.
One is a new video codec technology to improve video call quality and reliability, even on very low-bandwidth connections.

The second feature allows users to click a photo during a video call.
