Govt reduces gap between 2nd dose, booster dose of Covid-19 vaccination

The Central Government decided to reduce the gap between the second dose and booster dose of Covid-19 vaccine for persons travelling abroad to a minimum of 90 days after the second dose. Earlier, several people urged the central government to reduce the gap between vaccines because many countries have started mandating the third dose for international travelers. Meanwhile, India reported 2,897 new Covid cases, and 54 more deaths in the last 24 hours, as per government data updated on Wednesday. The active caseload in India has risen to 19,494. The data showed that a decrease of 143 cases has been recorded in the active caseload in a span of 24 hours.
