In a bizarre incident, a woman was allegedly thrashed by a private bank executive after she objected to him smoking in a shared auto. The woman suffered a fractured nose. The incident took place near Sector 46, Gurugram. Victim Suman Lata is a resident of Delhi’s Wazirabad and is employed in a private hospital in Sector 51. She boarded an auto for her house in the evening. After some time, a couple also boarded the same auto near Greenwood City. When the man started smoking in the shared auto, she objected to it. This enraged the man, who punched on her face twice and left her with a bleeding nose. "He also hit me on face, chest, stomach and hands and also abused me," the victim said in her complaint. cigrate-4 Soon after the incident , the auto driver called the police and the family of the victim. He was booked under Sections 323 (causing hurt) , 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 509 (insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.
