India sees slight dip in Covid-19, logs 14,092 new cases in 24 hours

New Delhi, August 14: India has witnessed a slight decline in Covid cases. The country reported 14,092 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and the active caseload is standing at 1,16,861, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Sunday. According to the Health Ministry, India had reported 15,815 new Coronavirus cases in its previous 24 hours with a daily case positivity rate of 4.36 percent. The Ministry also updated that the active caseload of the country stood at 0.26 per cent, while its recovery rate witnessed 98.54 per cent. Covid cases rising in Punjab; Mohali and Ludhiana hotspots India logged 16,454 recoveries in the last 24 hours, with which the total number of people who recovered from the infection rose to 4,36,09,566. Punjab reports 444 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours The country has administered a total of 207.99 crore vaccine doses (93.78cr Second Dose and 12.07cr Precaution Dose) under the nationwide vaccination drive. In the last 24 hours, 28,01,457 doses of Covid vaccines were given across India.
