Kali Bein water did not make Bhagwant Mann sick, its TDS was also checked, claims Balbir Singh Seechewal
Mohali, July 29: Padma Shri Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, a green crusader, has rebutted claims made in a section of media that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann fell ill after he had a glass of water directly from Kali Bein, a holy rivulet in Sultanpur Lodhi.
Recently, Bhagwant Mann was admitted to Apollo Indraprastha Hospital at Sarita Vihar in the national capital and discharged the next day. Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal asked if someone falls ill after four days of having water, what should we say about it? He termed the news published/shown in a section of media as "baseless".
Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal said the false news had been shared to spread negative propaganda. He said "some people are worried how the rivulet's water has been cleaned". He said they had been drinking water from Kali Bein, a holy rivulet in Sultanpur Lodhi, on a regular basis and that day too, its TDS was got checked. People linked it to his drinking water from Kali Bein, a holy rivulet in Sultanpur Lodhi, though the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had clearly stated that Bhagwant Mann was hospitalised for a routine check-up. Still, a video of him drinking water from Kali Bein triggered speculation that he feel sick because of it.
