Nation pays tribute to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on martyrdom day

The nation is remembering the freedom fighters Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru, and Shaheed Sukhdev on their martyrdom day on Tuesday. The death sentence was pronounced on October 7, 1930, which Shaheed Bhagat Singh heard with courage. During his stay in jail, Singh went on a hunger strike to raise a voice against the policy of better treatment for prisoners of foreign origin. While he was sentenced to be hanged on March 24, 1931, but it was brought forward by 11 hours to March 23, 1931, at 7:30 pm. As they say, Bhagat Singh marched to the gallows with a smile. The prominent freedom fighter was only 23-year-old when he was hanged while his death inspired hundreds to take up the cause of the freedom movement. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru, paid respects to the Independence revolutionaries Amar Shaheed Veer Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru. "The sacrifice of these great sons of Maa Bharati will remain an inspiration for every generation of the country. Jai Hind!" he said. Likewise, the Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal wrote: "These three martyrs are witnesses to the fact that the power of change lies in the hands of the youth, and the guidance given to this power in the right direction is the seed of progress of every country and every nation." Even as Harsimrat Kaur Badal wrote: "Remembering the unparalleled sacrifice and valour of the brave sons of India #ShaheedBhagatSingh, Sukhdev & Rajguru on their martyrdom day.
