Amul hikes milk prices by Rs 3 litre for all variants

Rise in Amul milk price: The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) famous brand Amul has announced hike in prices of milk by Rs 3 per litre across all variants.

A statement issued by marketing federation also stated that, "We would like to inform you that the price of Amul pouch milk (all variants) has been revised upwards effective from February 3."

The statement issued by marketing federation also stated that the hike in Amul milk is due to an increase in an overall cost of operation and production of milk. 

Moreover, the cattle feeding cost has been increased to approximately 20 per cent compared to last year. 

Now the question arises that how will the hike in Amul milk price will affect pocket of middle class family? 

So if your nuclear family consumes 2 litres of milk everyday, then now you have to pay Rs 6 more each day as Amul hiked milk prices by Rs 3 


The new rates of different variants of Amul are: 

The price of Amul Gold will be Rs 66 per litre, 

Amul Taaza will be Rs 54 per litre, 

Amul cow milk will be Rs 56 per litre, 

Amul A2 buffalo milk will be Rs 70 per litre.

Earlier in October-2022, Amul's milk had become costlier. Before October, in the month of August also, the company had increased the prices of milk across India including Gujarat. At the same time, in March 2022, Amul had increased the prices.
