CJP chief Abhijeet Dipke calls protest 'trailer', gives 7-day ultimatum to Dharmendra Pradhan to tender resignation

PTC News Desk: Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the online movement Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), on Sunday thanked the thousands of people who participated in the group's protest at Jantar Mantar and warned that the agitation would intensify if Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is not removed from office or does not resign within the next seven days.

Dipke said many of those who joined the demonstration were participating in a public protest for the first time. According to him, the collective gathering gave people the confidence to openly express their anger and frustration over issues in the education system.

In a post on X, Dipke described Saturday's demonstration as a "historic" show of strength and said it reflected growing anger among students and young people over issues related to the education system.

"Yesterday, thousands of us made history. Our peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar showed the government a trailer of what cockroaches are capable of when we unite," he wrote.

Thanking students, children and supporters who attended the event despite the intense summer heat, he said the movement had received strong public backing.

Stressing that the campaign was far from over, Dipke accused the education minister of failing an entire generation and said the organisation would continue its protests if its demands were not addressed within a week.

He also reiterated the group's commitment to peaceful and non-violent methods, arguing that a united and peaceful movement could not be ignored by the government.

“The government cannot touch a unified, peaceful movement,” Dipke said, while affirming that the campaign would continue to mobilise public support.

His remarks came a day after the Cockroach Janta Party organised a protest at Jantar Mantar seeking Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation. According to organisers, participants travelled from several states to attend the demonstration, which featured speeches by students, educators and activists critical of the Centre's handling of education-related issues.
