PTC News Desk: The National Testing Agency will deploy the Indian Air Force to transport question papers for the NEET medical entrance examination scheduled for June 21, as authorities strengthen security measures following the paper leak controversy that led to the cancellation of the earlier test.

NTA Director General Abhishek Singh announced the decision while virtually participating in a review meeting chaired by K Ramakrishna Rao.

According to an official release from the Telangana government, Singh said a series of enhanced security protocols are being introduced to safeguard the examination process. He noted that this would be the first time the Indian Air Force is being used to transport NEET question papers, underscoring the agency's focus on ensuring the integrity and security of the examination.

During the meeting, Chief Secretary Rao directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examination. He instructed district administrations to coordinate closely with all concerned departments and ensure that candidates face no difficulties on exam day.

Christina Z Chongthu said nearly 73,000 students are expected to appear for the examination across 208 centres located in 24 cities throughout Telangana.

She added that authorities are putting in place all necessary arrangements related to infrastructure, transportation, security, electricity, drinking water and other essential services to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly and without disruption.
