Petrol bombs recovered from Tahir Hussain’s rooftop
Petrol bombs and many crates of stones were allegedly found on the rooftop of the AAP leader. Meanwhile, IB officer Ankit Sharma’s father Devendra has called Tahir an anti-national person.
BJP leader Amit Malviya said in a tweet: “Locals continue to send video evidence of AAP corporator Mohammed Tahir Hussain’s role in unleashing violence against Hindus. This explains Kejriwal’s studied silence. He neither called his MLAs for a meeting nor did he ask Maulvi, who his govt pays, to appeal for peace…”
‘I am a peaceful Indian Muslim’
Meanwhile, Tahir Hussain, AAP councilor stated that “I worked to stop violence, I am innocent. I stopped people from climbing up my building. On February 24, the police conducted a search of my building and moved us out from there and later, we shifted to a safe location. Till 4 pm on Feb 25, police were present at the building.”
Adding, he said that “I requested the police to be present in the area as my building was being targeted and could be used for the wrongful purposes. The Delhi Police was present at the building, only they can tell what exactly happened. I will fully cooperate with the police.”
“I am very sad to hear about the death of IB officer Ankit Sharma. He should get justice. I am not involved in this incident. There should be a thorough investigation of this matter,” he concluded.
Delhi CM on accusations on Tahir Hussain
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that “Any person who found guilty should be given stringent punishment. If any Aam Aadmi Party person was found guilty then that person should be given double the punishment. There should be no politics on the issue of national security.”
