Punjab's special Assembly session on April 1
Chandigarh, March 31: The Council of Ministers have decided to summon a special one-day session of the Punjab Assembly on April 1. The meeting of the Council of Ministers was chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday.
It is learnt that the Punjab government is likely to bring two or three Bills for enactment. The Bills may be linked to the recent announcements made by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann such as capping of pensions of MLAs and barring schools from increasing fee this year.

The Punjab Government is also likely to bring a censure motion in Assembly against the implementation of central service rules in Chandigarh.
First session concluded on Match 22
The first session of the 16th Punjab Vidhan Sabha had concluded on March 22.
