Regional Outreach Bureau (Chd), Ministry of I&B launches outreach campaign on COVID19 vaccination

As a part of advocacy & behavior change communication campaign on COVID 19 Vaccination, Regional Outreach Bureau, Chandigarh under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting is organizing outreach programs like Nukkad Nataks, folk traditional performances etc. with an aim to engage maximum number of people by promoting the benefits of COVID-19 vaccine. Also Read | FASTag mandatory from Monday midnight or pay double toll fee These programmes will further help in building and enabling positive environment by allaying apprehensions about the vaccine and enhance its acceptance and uptake. These programmes will also exhort people to continue following the COVID appropriate behaviors like frequently washing hands with soap and water, wearing masks and maintaining “Do GazkiDoori”. Also Read | Govt. issues new guidelines to contain spread of COVID-19 in offices During the month of February, 2021, various Nukkad-Nataks have been scheduled in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Chandigarh in association with local /state Health departments. Launched yesterday, NukkadNataks have been organized in Chandigarh and Karnal so far. Today the artists performed a NukkadNatak at Health & Wellness centre, Dhanas, Chandigarh. The program was organized in association with Health Department, Chandigarh. Before launching the campaign, an online orientation workshop was also organized for Field Officials and over 30 private registered troupes (PTRs) leaders on Feb 10, 2021. -PTC News
