Washington (US), May 19: Elon Musk stated on Thursday that verified Twitter subscribers of the microblogging site will soon be able to upload 2-hour videos.

"Twitter Blue Verified subscribers can now upload 2-hour videos (8GB)!" Musk wrote.

Twitter has changed its subscription plan and increased the previous 60-minute limit to two hours, according to TechCrunch, a US-based tech portal.

The company recently changed its Twitter Blue page and announced that the video file size limit for paying users has been raised from 2GB to 8 GB.

Longer video uploads were previously only possible via the web, but are now also possible via the iOS app. Despite these modifications, the maximum upload quality remains 1080p, according to TechCrunch.

Several social media users flooded the comment section shortly after Musk announced the news and shared their reactions.

Where a user wrote, "Twitter is the new Netflix," another commented, "so cool! thanks for makin' this possible!" "Welcome to Tweetube," another person said.

Musk recently appointed Linda Yaccarino as the new Twitter CEO, with a primary focus on commercial operations.

Musk, who purchased Twitter for USD 44 billion last year, will have a firm grip on the company and will concentrate on product creation and innovative technology.
