PTC News Desk: In a massive goof-up during India vs Pakistan T20 Asia Cup 2025 match, players of the Pakistani contingent were left baffled after the DJ played a song instead of their national anthem.

As the players were standing with their hands to the heart waiting for the national anthem, the were left red-faced and irritated after the Jason Derulo x Tesher track was played on the loudspeaker.

This is not the first time that Pakistan was left embarrassed over the national anthem goof-up. The opposition was baffled during The Champions Trophy when the Indian national anthem was played in Lahore. In the match between Australia and England, the DJ mistakenly played Jana Gana Mana instead of the Australian national anthem on February 22.

The crowd at the stadium and Australian players were taken aback before the organisers realised the blunder and immediately restored the order after playing Advance Australia Fair eventually.

Earlier on Sunday, India scripted a dominating 7 wickets win against Pakistan, featuring Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma special. This win makes it 11 out of 14 wins for India against their arch rivals in T20Is.

Saim Ayub emerged as Pakistan’s standout bowler with three wickets, but Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma steadied India’s innings after early setbacks in their 128-run chase during the Asia Cup Group A clash in Dubai on Sunday. India’s bowlers had given them the upper hand from the outset, with Hardik Pandya dismissing Ayub off the first legal delivery and Jasprit Bumrah removing Mohammad Haris soon after, leaving Pakistan reeling at 6 for 2.
