New Delhi, March 23: After a remarkable 14-month break following a life-threatening accident, Rishabh Pant, the dynamic cricketer known for his explosive batting prowess, is set to make a triumphant return to the field. Pant, who played a pivotal role in breaking the Gabba fortress, will lead the Delhi Capitals once again in the upcoming IPL 2024 season, commencing with a clash against Punjab Kings at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mohali on Saturday.

Reflecting on his time at the pre-season camp in Visakhapatnam with Delhi Capitals, Rishabh Pant emphasised his commitment to continuous improvement, taking each day as it comes, and giving his all on the field.

His contributions to Delhi Capitals since 2016 have been substantial, amassing 2,838 runs in 98 matches with an impressive average of 34.61 and a striking rate exceeding 147, including a century and 15 fifties.

On the international stage, Rishabh Pant has left his mark with 33 Test appearances, 30 ODI matches, and 66 T20Is. Notably, in Tests, he boasts 2,271 runs at an average of 43.67 and a strike rate of 73.63, while accumulating 987 runs in T20Is and 865 runs in ODIs. His stellar record includes a century and multiple half-centuries across formats.
