Sukhbir Singh Badal condoles Gurmeet Bawa’s death
Gurmeet Bawa death: Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday shared condolences on the demise of legendary Punjabi singer Gurmeet Bawa, also known as 'Hek Di Rani'.
'Hek Di Rani' Gurmeet Bawa on Sunday passed away at the age of 77 in Amritsar. She took her last breath at IVI hospital in Amritsar.

"Heartfelt condolences on the demise of legendary Punjabi singer Mrs. Gurmeet Bawa Ji. Her contribution to the Punjabi musical industry, and achievements will always be remembered. May Guru Sahib grant peace to the departed soul & strength to the family members to bear the loss," Sukhbir Singh Badal tweeted on Gurmeet Bawa's death.

Likewise, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi expressed condolences to the departed soul.
"Shocked and saddened to hear the news of Gurmeet Bawa Ji’s demise. Her contribution to Punjabi folk music is indelible. My sincere condolences, thoughts & prayers are with her family," he wrote on sad demise of 'Hek Di Rani'.
Punjabi singer Harshadeep Kaur took to Twitter and wrote: "Saddened to hear about the demise of Legendary Folk Singer #GurmeetBawa ji... Her powerful -‘Hek’ will always reverberate in our hearts."
Harbhajan Mann wrote: '''Yaadan Reh Jaaniyan'. May the Punjabi folk queen rest in peace. You will always be missed Gurmeet Bawa ji."
