AISF and AIYF protest for the cancellation of FIR against Chhangarai
AISF and AIYF protest for the cancellation of FIR against Chhangarai : All India Students Federation (AISF) and All India Youth Federation (AIYF) in a joint protest demonstrated in front of the Police Bhawan regarding the cancellation of the FIR against State President, Charanjit Chhangarai by Guruharsahai police .
The protest was supported by youth. Paramjit Dhaban, the State President of Ferozepur and Piara Singh Megha, the President, Satish Chhapri, President AISF and State Treasurer, Narinder Kaur Sohal led the protest.
Speaking on the occasion, State Secretary Sukhjinder Singh Maheshri and State President, Paramjit Dhaban said that the FIR had been registered by the police under political influence.
Paramjit Singh Dhaban said that both the Federations were supporting Chhangrai and stressed that the charges have been leveled against the grabbing of land and that was also under political influence. Kashmiri Lal, Congress worker, had grabbed land owned land by Hakam Chand shopkeeper on October 12, 2017.
They said no arrest had been made yet in this regard even after the filling of the complaint with the police. Whereas, a false case was registered against Charanjit Chhangarai as he had been pursuing the case of Hakam Chand.
The protestors said that the youth of the state would intensify the agitataion if the case registered against Chhangarai was not withdrawn within a week.
